3rd Down Sports Bar, Myrtle Beach

[Mandy Kinseth, The Sun News]

Watching sports just got better. At 3rd Down Sports Bar in Myrtle Beach, you can watch sports in 3D. That’s exactly why we went there for happy hour this week.

3rd Down Sports Bar is a friendly, neighborhood bar with TVs galore, including 3D TVs. When your favorite team is playing, ask to borrow 3D glasses to bring sports to life right there in the bar. There are plenty of regular big screen TVs, too, if you prefer the traditional 2D viewing.

3rd Down Sports Bar is obviously sports oriented, but the music kicks up at night with a deejay playing house music, dance music, and hip-hop. Also look for karaoke, team trivia and live bands. If you enjoy playing billiards, there are three pool tables. If you enjoy fresh air, check out the outdoor patio.

Happy hour runs from 4 p.m. – 7 p.m. daily. Cash in on dollar deals including $1 beers (Natural Light draft), Hail Mary shots (Everclear, pineapple juice, Sprite and Watermelon Pucker) and hot dogs. You can get hot dogs for $2 any other time, and burgers for five bucks. Everyday drink costs include $3 well drinks and domestic beer bottles, $4 import beers and $2 Natural Light drafts.

TIPS | Don’t forget to ask for your 3D glasses to watch sports in 3D.

FIND IT | 1108 Third Ave. South, Myrtle Beach. Call 626-3696.
