As more manufacturers add 3D functionality to their new TVs,Consumer Reports’ testing has ramped up as well: We look for problems specific to this technology such as ghosting (double images) and test brightness, resolution, and viewing angle. In our most recent tests, though, we found that ghosting is disappearing: It’s problem with only a small number of sets.
On last week’s “Into Tomorrow with Dave Graveline” radio show, Consumer Reports senior electronics editor Jim Willcox talked about our new testing methodology and which sets did well. Check it out in our Sound Byte podcast.
