Apple iPad 3D shown off in Taipei

[Philip Lelyveld comment: watch the brief video]

[by tech news perk]

During the Display in the Taiwan 2011 conference that took place this week in Taipei, the display manufacturer CPT gave us a glimpse of iPad 3D version. There is a 3D enabled iPad 2 version available, but they will never make to the public. What is good about this version is that despite being thin and wrapped in a lightweight aluminium case, this ultra slim iPad still has room for 3D display, which is a real good applaudable feature.

While Apple has always wanted to include 3D display technology in their phones and tablet PCs, what has been hindering them is their preference to non-glass panels unlike the special 3D glass panels that CPT used. This feature will be more apt, the present adds furthermore, when Apple introduces the Retina Display technology.
