New Toshiba TV Has Sensor Camera That Delivers Unique Personalisation

Toshiba Australia, who has managed to grow their TV unit share by 14% and their value share 18% this year despite tough economic conditions and slumping demand for flat panel TVs is set to launch 13 new TVs, including a new 46” that tracks who is watching TV to personalise PVR content and settings.

Some of the new range will have a brand new 7 core CEVO processor which is the next generation to the Company’s Cell processor being used in the Sony Playstation 3 and Microsoft’s Xbox 360.

The Company, who earlier this year had up to 8.1% share of the Australian TV market and up to 16% share of the 32″ TV market, is taking an each way bet by selling TVs that give consumers the choice of either 3D  Passive or  Active Shutter technology.

Users can also set four personalised ID tags, so that setting and information recorded to a hard drive can be accessed by four separate individuals in the home.

A neat new innovation is also found on the Toshiba remote where a slider hides keys that are not needed eliminating the chance of hitting the wrong button.  …
