Ted Price talks up Move, 3D

The PlayStation 3’s stereoscopic 3D support makes “a huge difference” to the quality of games, says Insomniac Games head, Ted Price.

Speaking to CVG after Sony’s Gamescom press conference tonight, Price – who refused to discuss Resistance 3 in any shape or form – shared his affection for the PS3’s big features.

“Move is very cool,” he said. “I played it at E3 and today I got to play Sports Champions for the first time and I didn’t want to stop playing.

“It’s very precise and it definitely gives you the kind of motions that you don’t get with any other controller because it can mimic real human motions very well.”

He added: “I experienced 3D first hand at E3 and I’ve got to tell you it makes a huge difference from my experience as a gamer. It brings the games to life; the parallax gives the games the kind of depth that I think the industry needs. It’s very, very cool.”

3D and Move likely for Resistance 3 then? Read into Price’s words as much as you like.

Insomniac of course finally announced the third instalment in its first-person shooter series at Gamescom tonight.
