Sharp is lauching the Quattron LE 925 series LCD TV. This 3D capable TV will adopt a similar quad-pixel technology that currently sees action in its high-end 2D sets, delivering more accurate color simply because of a dedicated yellow pixel.
The LE925 is capable of performing both 2D to 3D conversion (we will wait to see if it works really) and 3D to 2D conversion (should be easier).
The 60-inch and 52-inch LE 925 models will retail for $5,300 and $4,200, respectively. No launch dates announced however.
