Sony: 50 Million PS3 Owners Will Lead the Charge in Growing the 3D Market

Additionally, according to a recent Digital Entertainment Group survey, 28% of all 3D set owners polled own a PS3, with 76% of the group having upgraded the equipment to play their favorite games in 3D. It’s clear that gamers are very interested in 3D and I think the more than 50 million PS3 owners will lead the charge in growing this market.  …

MH: No, I wouldn’t agree that 3D is a fad. If you compare adoption rates of technologies that have recently become de facto standards, HDTVs and Blu-ray for example, the adoption of 3D is actually ahead in its lifecycle. …
