Continuing its leadership position in introducing new technology and formats to the ad industry, SourceEcreative has partnered with its parent company, digital advertising solutions provider DG Fastchannel, to offer the advertising and production community in New York City access to its new 3D screening room.

The room boasts a 60-inch Sony 3D HD flat screen TV capable of displaying any 3D content that’s been burned to a Blu-ray DVD. The room easily accommodates up to 10 people and is located in the offices of Unicast, a provider of rich media ads for agencies, publishers and advertisers which is SourceEcreative’s sister company. The address is 205 West 39 Street, between 7th and 8th Avenues in Midtown Manhattan.

The SourceEcreative/DG 3D screening room was launched last week with a presentation of 3D content and TV spots from Samsung and ESPN that was held for the Association of National Advertiser’s Production Management Committee. Members of the committee donned 3D glasses and watched not just these TV spots, produced by Leo Burnett and Wieden + Kennedy, but also viewed the new ESPN 3D promo reel as well as a clip from the SourceEcreative NAB presentation on 3D commercials which took place earlier this spring. “We know there’s a lot of curiosity in the marketplace about 3D, and at the moment there are very few places in the country where agency producers and creatives and their clients or production company EPs and directors can screen 3D content in what replicates a home setting,” says SourcEcreative Founder Pamela Maythenyi. “This room will give members of the agency and production industries an opportunity to check out what 3D content on TV looks like, so they can make more informed decisions when researching the use of 3D for their campaigns, or when they’re in the midst of producing campaigns and need to screen work for creatives and clients.”

For information on booking a screening in the room, please email SourceEcreative directly atrequests@sourceecreative.com.

A 3D version of this Samsung spot, produced by Rabbit Content, was recently screened for an ANA committee in the SoureEcreative 3D screening room.
