Per the deal, 3net will broadcast the Society’s annual 3D Creative Arts Awards Show, which take place Feb. 9 in Hollywood.
3net has inked a multi-year deal with the International 3D Society. Per the agreement, 3net — a soon to be launched 24/7 3D entertainment network, which is a joint venture betweenDiscovery, Sony and Imax — will broadcast in stereo the Society’s annual 3D Creative Arts Awards Show, which this year will be held Feb. 9 at Grauman’s Chinese Theatre.
3ality Digital will produce the 2011 awards telecast, which will be a two-hour special that includes red carpet, ceremony and highlights of upcoming 3D productions.
“This annual telecast of the Society’s Awards Show will be a centerpiece of 3net’s commitment to bringing the best of the best 3D to our viewers everywhere,” 3net president Tom Cosgrove said.
