MicroVision provides the PicoP display technology platform designed to enable next-generation display and imaging products for pico projectors, vehicle displays and wearable displays which interface with mobile devices. The company’s PicoP display engine uses efficient laser light sources which create vivid images with high contrast and brightness.
A 3D version of the technology was first shown in September at Mobile Future Forward in Seattle which uses a mixed-polarization approach with its laser scanning technology to deliver 60Hz frame rates to each eye, enabling the use of less expensive passive 3D eyewear. …
Original equipment manufacturers would be able to leverage the 3D technology in MicroVision’s next-generation HD PicoP engine that is expected to be released during the second half of 2012.
