Special screening of 'Coraline' to benefit the 3D Center of Art & Photography in Northwest Portland

A special screening of the stop-motion movie “Coraline” is being planned as a fundraiser for the 3D Center of Art & Photography in Northwest Portland.
The screening will be held at 6:30 p.m. July 28 at Living Room Theaters, 314 S.W. 10th Ave. Tickets are $50 per person and proceeds will go to the 3D Center’s education fund. Tickets can be purchased at the 3D Center, 1928 N.W. Lovejoy St.
“Coraline” is an Academy Award-nominated film that debuted in 2009 as the first stop-motion feature to be made and photographed in 3-D. It was created by Portland-based studioLaika.
During the screening, Laika employees will give a behind-the-scenes talk about the making of “Coraline.” In addition, every ticket purchased includes a chance to win one of two “Coraline” gift packages that include movie memorabilia. The event is sponsored by Laika, Wieden + Kennedy, Image 3D and Living Room Theaters.
